WHMCS Addon Installation Guide

Connect WHMCS with WSync

Automate your web hosting billing reminders, unpaid suspensions, domain renewals, and urgent ticket notifications with non-blocking HMAC-SHA256 security.

Upload the WHMCS Addon Module

Download the whatsappautomation addon module from your WSync portal. Upload the entire directory to your WHMCS server inside the addons path: 

/path/to/whmcs/modules/addons/whatsappautomation/

Ensure the directory contains whatsappautomation.php, hooks.php, config.php, and the lib/ folder.

Activate Module in WHMCS Admin Area

  1. Log into your WHMCS Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Configuration (wrench icon) → System Settings → Addon Modules.
  3. Locate WhatsApp Automation in the list.
  4. Click the green Activate button.

Configure Portal URL & HMAC Secret

Click Configure next to WhatsApp Automation and fill in your connection credentials:

Portal URL: https://app.wsync.net Use HTTPS without a trailing slash.
Shared HMAC Secret: whmcs_sec_your_secret_from_portal Found in your WSync portal under WHMCS Settings.

Under Access Control, check Full Administrator and click Save Changes.

Test & Verify Handshake

In your top WHMCS navigation menu, navigate to Addons → WhatsApp Automation. Click Test Connection to Portal.

Connection Successful! Connected to portal (HTTP 200). Your WHMCS events are now signed and connected.
